The government of the Maldives has released its official list of public holidays for the calendar year 2009.
The list confirms the dates of the Maldives public holidays that are based on the Islamic calendar, but adds no new annual public holiday, as was done last for the "Anniversary of the Day the Maldives Embraced Islam" public holiday (08-Jun-2000).
