Nepal's Home Ministry is preparing to table a proposal to amend the list of public holidays in 2066 BS to include the Republic Day public holiday, at the next cabinet meeting.
Earlier in the week, the Office of the Prime Minister had questioned the Home Ministry about the omission of Republic Day from the list of holidays. The Republic Day public holiday falls on May 29, 2009 (Jestha 15, 2066).
