Late last night, the government of Nigeria's State of Kaduna declared that Wednesday, February 25, 2009, would be a one-off public holiday throughout the State on the occasion of the closing ceremonies of the 10-day National Sports Festival (KADA Games 2009) taking place in Kaduna State this year.
During the entire 10-day event, the government had already allowed public servants to go home at 13:00 (1pm) instead of the usual 16:00 (4pm).
