The State Bank of Pakistan has announced a bank holiday for Wednesday and Thursday, January 7 and 8, 2009, on account of Aushura (Muharram-ul-Harram 9 and 10).
This will apply to the State Bank of Pakistan and all offices of SBP Banking Services Corporation including the Public Debt Offices and is consistent with the recently-released "Public and Optional Holidays for the Year 2009" (31-Dec-2008).
