South Africa's President, Kgalema Motlanthe, is expected to announce the date of the upcoming elections during his State of the Nation Address (SONA) in front of Parliament, this coming Friday.
The date of South Africa's last 2 Presidential elections were declared public holidays throughout South Africa (28-Apr-1999 and 24-Feb-2004), and the upcoming date, which our local sources tell us will probably be after Easter, is also expected to be declared a public holiday in South Africa.
