US President, Barack Obama, has confirmed that he would be coming to Trinidad and Tobago for the Summit of the Americas on April 17-19, 2009.
Although Trinidad and Tobago's Prime Minister, Patrick Manning, is recently quoted as saying that he had not yet come to a decision on the matter, the first day of this summit is still widely expected (13-Feb-2009) to be declared a one-off public holiday, particularly with all the security issues stemming from President Obama's attendance.
