The Government Information Services (GIS) of the Turks and Caicos Islands has released a revised version of its official list of public holidays for the calendar year 2009.
Compared to the list released last summer (19-Sep-2008), this revised list identifies the public holidays observance of some public holidays that are moved from their traditional date, confirms the date of the Queen's Birthday public holiday, and most importantly, confirms that there will be no day in lieu public holiday on December 28, to compensate the fact that the Boxing Day public holiday will fall on a weekend in 2009.
