Uruguay's Parliament has approved a bill that will make Thursday, April 16, 2009, a one-off public holiday to coincide with the 150th anniversary of Fray Bentos.
Interestingly enough, this is to be a nationwide non-working public holiday, limited, however, to people that are natives of Fray Bentos (aplicable para los oriundos de Fray Bentos en cualquier lugar del país).
