The State Securities Commission has declared that Friday, January 30, 2009, would be a bank and financial exchange holiday in Vietnam.
As the period from Monday to Thursday, January 26-29, is already a period of public holidays for the Tet (Lunar New Year), this means that, for all of next week, there will be no trading, settlement and clearing activity, and that the Vietnam Securities Depository, the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange and the Hanoi Securities Trading Center will be closed.
