The government of the Palestinian Autonomous Area (West Bank and Gaza) has declared Sunday, July 19, 2009, as the date of the upcoming Prophet's Ascension public holiday.
The Prophet's Ascension public holiday had previously been scheduled for Monday, July 20, 2009, which is the date observed this year in most of the Middle East.
