The government of the Comoros has announced that the first day of the month of Shawwal, the day of the Eid al Fitr public holiday marking the End of Ramadan, would be on Friday, September 10, 2010.
Note that neighboring Mayotte, which is claimed by the Comoros as part of its territory (28-Mar-2009), recently announced that the upcoming End of Ramadan (Aïd el-Fitr) would be an official school holiday (08-Sep-2010).
