The government of Honduras has announced that public sector employees would get the entire Holy Week as public holidays, thus benefitting from public holidays from March 27 to April 4, 2010.
Last year (03-Apr-2009), the Government of Honduras announced that it had added one day to the annual 9-day Holy Week public holidays given to the public sector, which would therefore be on holidays from Friday, April 3, until Sunday, April 12, 2009, inclusively.
Similar extensions of the Holy Week public sector holidays were also declared for the 3 preceding years previous (28-Mar-2007, 04-Apr-2006), and 24-Feb-2005).
