The government of Kyrgyzstan has announced that the non-working public holidays in January 2011, throughout Kyrgyzstan, would be January 1, 2 and 7, 2011.
Although the aofrementioned announcement is strictly in line with the current legislation of non-working days and public holidays in the Republic of Kyrgyzstan, the government seems to have felt it necessary to re-affirm these dates as the people of Kyrgyzstan have experienced extended January non-working public holidays over the last few years.
In 2008, the government of Kyrgyzstan had declared as non-working public holidays the period from January 1st to January 7, inclusively (27-Dec-2007). The same was done for 2009 (19-Dec-2008). And, finally, last year, in 2010, it was the period from January 1 to January 10, inclusively, that was declared as non-working public holidays (11-Dec-2009).
