The Libyan government, after consultations with the Libyan Center for Remote Sensing and Space Science (LCRSSS) has announced the expected dates of 2010 public holidays in Libya.
Most surprising is the announced date for the End of Ramadan public holiday, which is announced, for 2010, as starting before the actual New Moon corresponding to the month of Shawwal.
Although Libya is known for trying to always be the first to observe the End of Ramadan as a public holiday (02-Aug-2009, 26-Sep-2008, and 11-Oct-2007), we are treating this date as tentative and subject to revision.
