Malta Declares April 25 Bank Holiday

(Posted on Wednesday, April 20, 2011)

Source: Malta Bankers Association (Valetta)

The Malta Bankers' Association has announced that Monday, April 25, 2011, had been declared a bank holiday, and that, as such, all the banks in Malta would be closed for business on that day.

Although Malta does not have any specific bank holidays in its annual list of public holidays (05-Jan-2011 and 07-Jan-2010), the Malta Bankers Association does on occasion declare one-off bank holidays (23-Dec-2009, 10-Apr-2009, and 19-Dec-2008).
