Mauritania's Commission centrale d'observation du croissant lunaire has announced that the upcoming El Id Adha (Feast of Sacrifice) public holiday, would be observed on Sunday, November 6, 2011, in Mauritania.
Contrary to previous years (15-Nov-2010, 13-Dec-2001, 04-Mar-2001 and 05-Jan-2000), the President of Maurtitania did not issue a decree extending the El Id Adha (Feast of Sacrifice) public holiday for a second day in Mauritania, although it is implicitely understood that this will be the case.
