Bahrain 2013 Eid Al Fitr Public Holidays Extended

(Posted on Tuesday, August 6, 2013)

Source: Bahrain News Agency (BNA)

Bahrain's Prime Minister, Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, has issued a circular declaring the day of the upcoming Eid Al-Fitr (End of Ramadan) and the 2 days that follow, as non-working public holidays in Bahrain to mark the upcoming Eid Al Fitr holidays for the Islamic year 1434.

In addition, as was done last year (15-Aug-2012), and as Fridays and Saturdays are one of the weekly days of rest in Bahrain (02-Aug-2006), the circular specifies that "The holiday will be extended by two days as Friday and Saturday are already an official weekly holiday".
