Nigerian 2013 Eid El-Kabir Public Holidays Announced

(Posted on Friday, October 11, 2013)

The Minister of Interior of the Federal Government of Nigeria, Abba Moro, has announced that the Nigerian Government had declared Tuesday and Wednesday, October 15 and 16, 2013, as paid non-working public holidays throughout Nigeria on account of the upcoming annual Eid El-Kabir (Feast of Sacrifice).

After a one-year relapse (22-Oct-2012 and 13-Aug-2012), the Nigerian Government seems to have abandoned its previous practice of following the Libyan Muslim calendar (14-Sep-2007).
