Costa Rican 2017 Public Holidays Announced

(Posted on Monday, December 12, 2016)

Costa Rica's Ministry of Labour (Ministerio de Trabajo y Seguridad Social - MTSS) has released the annual list of official non-working public holiday in Costa Rica for the upcoming calendar year 2017.

As was the case in recent years (30-Nov-2015), the aforementioned list of annual non-working public holiday in Costa Rica, for the upcoming calendar year 2017, is in line with the 2005 Abel Pacheco administration law (17-Mar-2005) which specified that 4 public holidays would move from mid-week to the following Monday (April 11, July 25, August 15, and October 12), and which has in subsequent years been emptied out of most of its substance (05-Oct-2007, 26-Jun-2009, and 06-Oct-2010).
