Macedonia's Ministry of Labour and Social Policy has announced that Sunday, December 26, 2016, had been declared a non-working public holiday in Macedonia on account of the annual Catholic Christmas non-working public holiday for "Catholic citizens" in Macedonia.

The aforementioned announcement that Sunday, December 26, 2016, had been declared a non-working public holiday on account of the annual Catholic Christmas non-working public holiday for Catholic citizens in Macedonia, is in line with the Macedonian Ministry of Labour and Social Policy's official list of 2016 public holidays in Macedonia, as published at end of last year (27-Oct-2015) and, more generally with the Law on Holidays of the Republic of Macedonia (Official Gazette, and Br.21/98 7.18) as last amended in 2007 (08-Feb-2007).
