(Posted on Friday, December 9, 2016)

Source: Official Gazette of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (Abuja)

The Minister of Interior of the Federal Government of Nigeria, Abdulrahman Bello Dambazau, via his Acting Permanent Secretary, Muhammadu Maccido, has announced that the Nigerian Government, had declared Monday, December 12, 2016, as a non-working public holiday throughout Nigeria to mark the Eid-El Maulud (birth of Prophet Muhammad) celebration.

This year's declaration of Monday, December 12, 2016, as a non-working public holiday throughout Nigeria to mark the Eid-El Maulud (birth of Prophet Muhammad) celebration, should be more straightforward than it was last year (22-Dec-2015, 17-Dec-2015 and 30-Dec-2014).
