The Government of India's state of Punjab has declared Tuesday, September 12, 2017, as a public holiday in the Indian State of Punjab on account of the observance of Saragarhi Diwas.

The aforementioned declaration of Tuesday, September 12, 2017, as a public holiday in the Indian State of Punjab on account of the observance of Saragarhi Diwas will apply to all of the state's government offices and offices and boards of corporations, and thus further amends (22-Apr-2017) last autumn's (18-Dec-2016) notification of the annual list of the days which were to be non-working public holidays in India's state of Punjab for the calendar year 2017, as contained in a Notification issued by the Government of Punjab, covering Government Holidays and Restricted Holidays in India's state of Punjab for the upcoming calendar year 2017.
