Source: The Jerusalem Post (Jerusalem) - Summary: The Speaker of the Knesset (Israel's Parliament), Dalia Itzik, intends to soon convene a special session of the Knesset to pass legislation cancelling the public holiday on election day.
For the moment, all general elections are public holidays in Israel.
