Source: El Pueblo Presidente - Summary: Nicaragua's Ministry of Labour (MITRAB) has issued a communique to lay to rest rumours that Monday, August 11, 2008, would be a public holiday in Managua to compensate the fact that the municipal holiday of August 10 falls on a Sunday this year.
The MITRAB spokesman re-iterated that only national public holidays that fall on a Sunday give right to payment or a compensating day (not necessarily the following Monday).
