03 Nov 2011 (Office of Prime Minister Organization-Avarua) The government of the Cook Islands has released a list of non-working public holidays for the calendar year 2012.
15 Jul 2011 (Office of Prime Minister Organization-Avarua) Yesterday, the Cook Islands Parliament approved the declaration of a new annual non-working public holiday on July 6, called "Ra O Te Ui Ariki".
30 Sep 2010 (Cook Islands News-Avarua) The Parliament of the Cook Islands is currently reviewing proposed changes to the Cook Islands labour law.
25 Jul 2010 (Office of Prime Minister Organization-Avarua) The government of the Cook Islands has released a list of public holidays for the first part of 2011.

Governing Law: Official public holidays in the Cook Islands are observed on the days prescribed by the Public Holidays Act 1999, as clarified by a notice released by the Prime Minister's Office on December 8, 2003.
When a public holiday falls on a Saturday or Sunday, the holiday is to be observed on the following Monday.
