Windows XP's built-in zip support interferes with some of the Q++ features related to the mirroring and restoration of backups. You should disable the built-in ZIP support in Windows XP on any PC that is used to run Q++ (including the server).
To disable the built-in zip support:
|1.||Open a command prompt, or the Start / Run menu from the Start button at the bottom left of your screen.|
|2.||Type: regsvr32 /u %windir%\system32\zipfldr.dll|
|4.||You should receive a successful confirmation.|
|5.||Shutdown and restart your computer.|
NOTE: If you ever need to re-register the zipfldr.dll library, use: regsvr32 %windir%\system32\zipfldr.dll.
