[dy+]/[dy-] : Days into the year/Days left in the year

Previous pageReturn to chapter overviewNext page

The tokens [dy+] and [dy-] display the days into the year, and the days remaining in the year. Assuming that N is the number of days in the current year (365 on non-leap years, and 366 on leap years), then :

[dy+]

The numbers of days into the year. Starts at 1 on the first day of the year and finishes at N on the last day of the year.

[dy-]

The numbers of days left in the current year. Starts at N-1 on the first day of the year and finishes at 0 on the last day of the year.

Note that the tokens [dy+]/[dy+] are exactly the same as the [t+] / [t-] Ascending/Descending Days tokens and can be used interchangeably. However, whenever other tokens such as [dw-] and [dm-] are used, then it is best to also use the [dy+]/[dy+] tokens to give a more symmetric aspect to the token layout.
