Namedays and Saints Exceptions
To add, modify or delete Namedays :
| 1. | Open the Saints and Namedays Manager |
| 2. | Select the holidays set whose namedays you want to create or modify. |
Namedays are listed at the right of the tabbed control. A month toolbar at the top allows you to easily navigate the list, and a record toolbar at the left contains 3 buttons which changes depending on the state of the current record; to the right of this toolbar is a panel displaying the status of the list.
The list's columns are :
| Date | These are the specific dates of the nameday or saints exception. These can be modified. |
| Sex | Whether the name represented by the nameday is male or female. Usually in the case of saints exceptions, the sex will be "none". |
| Saint's Name | This is the name which will appear in the diary output file. Note that any underscore character "_" (without the quotes) contained in this string will be replaced by a non-breaking space and that a tilde character "~" (without the quotes) contained in this string will be replaced by a normal space. |
To the left of the list of namedays, you will find the area where the namedays are modified. To modify one of the saints :
•Select the nameday you wish to modify in the list of namedays. Remember that you can use the navigation toolbar at the top of the list
•Once a nameday is selected click on the "-" button to delete it, click on the "triangle" button to modify it, or click on the "+" button to add a new nameday. The record toolbar and status indicator will change to reflect the modified state of the current saint.
•Set or modify the date, sex and name fields in the zone directly to the left of the list of namedays.
•Either confirm the changes by clicking on the checkmark button, or cancel changes by clicking on the button representing an "x".
Note that closing the Saints and Namedays Manager without saving changes to a currently modified saint or nameday is equivalent to canceling the latest change you have made.
