Namedays and Saints Exceptions

To add, modify or delete Saints/Namedays Exceptions :

 

1.Open the Saints and Namedays Manager

 

2.Select the holidays set whose namedays you want to create or modify.

 

Saints/Namedays Exceptions are listed at the right of the tabbed control. A month toolbar at the top allows you to easily navigate the list, and a record toolbar at the left contains 3 buttons which changes depending on the state of the current record; to the right of this toolbar is a panel displaying the status of the list.

 

The list's columns are :

 

DateThese are the specific dates of the Saints/Namedays Exceptions. These can be modified.

 

SexWhether the name represented by the Saints/Namedays Exceptions is male or female. Usually in the case of saints exceptions, the sex will be "none".

 

Saint's NameThis is the name which will appear in the diary output file. Note that any underscore character "_" (without the quotes) contained in this string will be replaced by a non-breaking space and that a tilde character "~" (without the quotes) contained in this string will be replaced by a normal space.

 

To the left of the list of Saints/Namedays Exceptions, you will find the area where the Saints/Namedays Exceptions are modified. To modify one of the Saints/Namedays Exceptions :

 

Select the Saints/Namedays Exceptions you wish to modify in the list of namedays. Remember that you can use the navigation toolbar at the top of the list

 

Once a Saints/Namedays Exceptions is selected click on the "-" button to delete it, click on the "triangle" button to modify it, or click on the "+" button to add a new Saints/Namedays Exceptions. The record toolbar and status indicator will change to reflect the modified state of the current Saints/Namedays Exceptions.

 

Set or modify the date, sex and name fields in the zone directly to the left of the list of Saints/Namedays Exceptions.

 

Either confirm the changes by clicking on the checkmark button, or cancel changes by clicking on the button representing an "x".

 

Note that closing the Saints and Namedays Manager without saving changes to a currently modified Saints/Namedays Exceptions is equivalent to canceling the latest change you have made.
