To export the contents of the Holidays Explorer to an MS-Excel file, click on the Export button located at the bottom left of the Holidays Explorer window. A dialog then appears presenting you with various options.
Filename |
This is the name of the MS-Excel file that will be created to hold the exported data. By default, Q++ will offer to save the exported holidays to a file in the c:\qpp\export\ folder, but you can change this default, and Q++ will remember that choice next time you export from the Holidays Explorer. |
Include contents of collapsed groups |
(not available in the Unicode version) If this option is set to true, then all groups will be expanded prior to being exported to Excel. This option allows you to export all the holidays of the current view (or selection, see next option) without the need to expand each group. |
Export only selected lines |
(not available in the Unicode version) Use this option if you only want to export the holidays and groups that you have selected before clicking on the Export button. |
Export all entries as plain text |
By default Q++ will export holidays and their information trying to respect the data format of MS-Excel. For example dates will be exported as dates and numbers as numbers. The advantage is that you can then view data such as dates in the native language of your PC and you can also further manipulate the exported date in MS-Excel. If you set this option to true, all data will be exported as plain text which will prevent you from further analysis of the exported data. |
