Importing Special Fonts
By importing we mean, importing an already installed font into Q++, and saving it in a table along with additional information about each character. The process of importing special fonts is comparable to scanning a GridTemplate; the font, or GridTemplate must already be available to your PC to you before you import or scan it. If you want to know how to create the actual font that will later be imported, see Creating Special Fonts.
To import a Special Font into the shared Q++ database :
•Launch the Special Fonts Manager.
•From the Font Tools button, select the Import New Font option.
•Select a font in the dialog which is then displayed.
•Click on OK.
Once the font has been imported, you are back in the Special Fonts Manager, where you can add information such as Lookup Texts and Names to each character, and remove records related to characters which are not used by the font you have imported.
