Migrating a Workstation from Unicode to XE2

To install the XE2 version of Q++Studio on a workstation on which the Unicode version of Q++Studio is currently installed and working properly:

1)Make sure that the XE2 Server has been installed.

2)Make sure that the workstation meets the Configuration Requirements.

a.To allow technical support to assist you, if needed, please install TeamViewer exactly as described here, using the download links of that page, an using qpp160396 as password in step 8 of the TeamViewer instructions.

3)Copy the entire folder Q:\Q++ServerXE2\Setup\Local\ to the C:\ drive of the workstation (when asked if you want to overwrite the existing files, click yes).

4)Copy the files Q++Loader.ini and Q++Studio.ini from the folder C:\Q++ Studio\ to the folder C:\Q++StudioXE2\ (when asked if you want to overwrite the existing files, click yes).

5)Copy the files Q++Ini.nx and Q++Ini.nxo from the folder C:\Q++ Studio\Data\ to the folder C:\Q++StudioXE2\Data\ (when asked if you want to overwrite the existing files, click yes).

6)Double-click on C:\Q++StudioXE2\Utilities\Q++StudioUpdaterXE2.exe, to download the updated license files and complete the installation.

7)If needed, install all the fonts located in the folder Q:\Q++ServerXE2\Setup\Fonts\.

You should now be able to launch Q++Studio normally.
