Under Windows 7, to run a program as Administrator you can right-click on the desktop icon used to launch it and select Run as Administrator as shown in the image below.
Alternatively, you can go to the Windows Explorer and right-click on the EXE file corresponding to that program and select Run as Administrator as shown in the image below.
The above method will only run the desired application as Administrator once. If you wish this to be a permanent setting you can use the same procedure as the one used to run in XP Compatibility mode, but selecting Run this program as Administrator instead of, or in addition to, the choice of XP Compatibility mode.
Note that the above topics and information therein is not needed to run Q++Studio XE2 as it is designed to run in the lowest authorization mode and will never trigger UAC or other such Windows authorization features.
