The Q++Server does not seem to be running on the server (local user)

Previous pageReturn to chapter overviewNext page

This message is displayed if the Q++Server executable does not seem to be running on the server computer when you try to launch Q++. The Q++ Server executable must be running before you can launch Q++ on your workstation.

Usually the Q++ Server is launched automatically when a Windows login is performed on the server. The cause of this message can therefore be one of the following :

The server computer was restarted but no login was performed.

The Q++ Server executable was shutdown by someone.

To address this problem:

1.Go and sit in front of the computer that is used as a server (the computer where the C:\Q++ServerXE2\ folder is located).

2.Login to Windows if this has not been done yet.

3.Wait for the login to complete and all programs that load at startup to run (this usually takes 60-90 seconds).

4.Check that the Q++Server icon is visible in the notification tray at the bottom right of the screen. If it is not visible, launch it manually by going into the C:\Q++ServerXE2\ folder and double-clicking on the Q++Server.EXE program file.

If the above does not resolve the problem, please contact technical support.
