Q++ is licensed on a yearly basis. Whenever your renewal has been processed, you will receive back, by email, a file named QppLicenseUpdate.zip. To install this new license :
| 1. | Extremely Important : Shut down Q++ on all client workstations (you do not need to worry about the Q++ Server). |
| 2. | Unzip the file QppLicenseUpdate.zip and copy the file it contains, QppLicenseUpdate.exe, to the c:\qpp\ folder of any of the Q++ workstations (but not the server). |
| 3. | Run the program QppLicenseUpdate.exe by double-clicking on it. The program will ask you, again, to make sure that Q++ has been closed on all client workstations. It will then update your licenses in less than 1 second and will inform you if the update was successful. |
| 4. | The steps above only need to be carried out on 1 of the workstations. You do not need to repeat these steps for all workstations. |
You will also need to get an update to QppLicenseUpdate.zip whenever you make major changes to the hardware configuration of your workstation (ie. reformat disk c:\, change network card, etc...). In that case you should follow step 5 of the workstation installation instructions again, before obtaining an updated license and then following the above instructions.
