The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government has released its official list of non-working public holidays to be observed in Hong Kong for the upcoming calendar year 2000.
As per the aforementioned announcement, "As the second day of the Lunar New Year in 2000 falls on a Sunday, the day preceding Lunar New Year's day will be designated as an additional general holiday" and "as the National Day in 2000 falls on a Sunday, the day following will be designated as an additional general holiday".
