The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government has released its official list of non-working public holidays to be observed in Hong Kong for the upcoming calendar year 2001.
As per the aforementioned announcement, days in lieu are re-stipulated "As the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Establishment Day in 2001 falls on a Sunday, the day following will be designated as an additional general holiday", as was the case on past occasions (1999-05-07).
