The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government has released its official list of non-working public holidays to be observed in Hong Kong for the upcoming calendar year 2003.
As per the aforementioned announcement, days in lieu are re-stipulated "As the second day of the Lunar New Year falls on a Sunday, the day preceding the Lunar New Year's Day will be designated as an additional general holiday", as was the case on past occasions (2001-04-20, 2000-05-05 and 1999-05-07).
