Turkmenistan Declares February 23-25 Public Holidays

Turkmenistan's president, Saparmyrat Niyazov, has signed a resolution declaring February 23-25, 2002, as a non-working public holidays on account of the upcoming feast for Id al-Adha ("the annual Muslim festival marking the end of the pilgrimage to Mecca").

This decree follows the practice of past years (2001-02-27 and 1999-03-19) and is in line with decree No 1773 issued on 19 April 1994.
