Ghana Declares December 27 and January 3 Days In Lieu Public Holidays

Using article 3 of the 2001 Public Holidays Act, the government of Ghana announced this week that Monday, December 27, 2004 and Monday January 3, 2005 had been declared as public holidays.

This was done as both Christmas and New Year fall on a weekend this year.
