The Algerian public sector ministry (Direction Générale de la Fonction Publique) has announced that Sunday, May 1, 2005, had been declared a paid non-working public holiday (journée chômée et payée) on account of the upcoming Labour Day (Fête du travail).
The aforementioned declaration of Sunday, May 1, 2005, as a paid non-working public holiday is in line with the "loi n° 63-278 du 26 juillet 1963" which regulates non-working public holidays in Algeria.
