Gabon's Ministre du Travail et de l'Emploi has announced that tomorrow, Friday, January 21, 2005, had been declared a one-off non-working public holiday ("journée fériée, chômée et payée sur toute l'étendue du territoire national").

This one-off public announcement was made based on the recently passed, "Décret, n°000484/PR/MTE du 26 mai 2004, portant modification de l'article 2 du décret n°000727/PR/MTEFP du 2 Juin 1998", amendment to the Gabonese Public Holidays Law (2004-05-26), which gives the President of Gabon more latitude in declaring one-off public holidays.
