Georgia's President, Mikheil Saakashvili, has suggested that he would support legislation making the Eid al-Fitr (End of Ramadan) an official public holiday in Georgia.

The remark was made at a recent meeting between Georgia's President, Mikheil Saakashvili and Georgian Muslim leaders.
