Ecuador Declares December 24 and 31 Bridge Public Holidays

A presidential decree has made Monday, December 24 and Monday, December 31, 2007, one-off bridge public holidays. In compensation, Saturday December 22, and Saturday December 29, 2007, will be regular working days.

Officially, this decree only applies to civil servants and government employees, but the private sector is encouraged, and expected, to follow the decree.
