Malawi Expected To Declare May 14 Public Holiday

Although Malawi's newly revived, May 14, public holiday still has to be approved by cabinet, it is expected to be approved and occur on May 14, 2007, for the first time.

The May 14 public holiday would be to commemorate the country's first president, the late Dr. Hastings Kamuzu Banda.
