The government of Papua New Guinea has gazetted the list of official Papua New Guinea (PNG) public holidays for the calendar year 2008.

The aforementioned announcement of official Papua New Guinea public holidays for the calendar year 2008, published in the National Gazette dated July 4th, 2007 (No. G100, 5th July, 2007), confirms the date of the 2008 Queen's Birthday public holiday, but does not list any day in lieu public holidays for 2008.

The Remembrance Day public holiday was moved from July 23 to April 25, 3 years ago (2004-09-20), in a move that was meant to be permanent, but which has proved unpopular, is again on July 23, as was the case for the last 2 years (2006-10-13 and 2005-10-01).
