Bahrain's Prime Minister, Shaikh Khalifa Bin Salman al Khalifa, issued a circular confirming that the public sector would be on holidays on the date of the upcoming Eid al Fitr (End of Ramadan) public holiday, as well as the 2 following days.
He further reiterated the policy that if any of these days coincide with an official holiday it would be compensated by extending the holiday for another day. As weekends are Fridays and Saturdays in Bahrain, this means that the public sector of Bahrain will be on holiday for one additional day, on Sunday, October 5, 2008.
