Bulgaria Increases Number Of End-Of-Year Bridge Public Holidays

As we had forecast in January, earlier this week the government of Bulgaria announced an additional end-of-the-year bridge public holiday for Friday, January 2, 2009, and confirmed the bridge public holiday on Wednesday, December 31, 2008.

The new, January 2, bridge public holiday, will be compensated by Saturday, January 10, 2009, being a regular working day in Bulgaria, while the December 31 bridge public holiday will be compensated by Saturday, December 20, 2008, being a regular working day, as per the original announcement earlier this year (2008-11-11).
