Cayman Islands Government Clarifies Date Of Upcoming Referendum Public Holiday

Last Friday, The Leader of Government Business, Kurt Tibbetts, confirmed that the day of the referendum on the People's Progressive Movement's proposed changes to the constitution will likely be a public holiday.

But Mr. Tibbetts added that the previous day's story by the Cayman Net News (2008-06-18) was incorrect in specifying the date of July 30th; as no date has yet been agreed upon.
