Falkland Islands Get New Constitution

A new constitution, which will come into force on January 1, 2009, has been agreed for the Falkland Islands.

It is possible that a one-off public holiday will be declared in January 2009, as happened in Gibraltar when their new constitution was approved (see 2006-12-20).
