Lebanon Declares February 14 Public Holiday

(Posted on Saturday, February 9, 2008)

Prime Minister, Fouad Siniora, has declared February 14, 2008, a one-off public holiday, on account of the rally that will take place on the third anniversary of the slaying of former Premier Rafik Hariri.

This is an interesting development as the government had tried, in 2007, to cancel both Good Friday public holidays (26-Jun-2007)
